OH Medical is currently seeking an experienced Occupational Health Physician to join a Public Sector Occupational Health department, in a Part-Time 12 month Fixed-term Contract role in London.
The Role:
This role offers the ideal chance for an experienced Occupational Health Physician (qualified to MFOM or FFOM level) to provide clinical leadership to colleagues within a multidisciplinary team ensuring the Occupational Health Service operates to high clinical standards. Your duties will include but not be limited to the following:
Contribute effectively to achieving the Department’s vision, strategic objectives, and key programmes.
Provide strong clinical leadership to the Occupational Health team.
Develop and enhance the Occupational Health services.
Actively engage in the creation of business plans, ensuring the Occupational Health function positively influences both strategic and operational goals.
Uphold and promote the highest clinical standards in Occupational Health management.
Collaborate with the Nursing Lead for effective service delivery and management.
Participate in the teaching and clinical supervision of the Occupational Health team.
Engage in regular audits of clinical activity and effectiveness to support continuous improvement and service expansion.
Assist customers in identifying workplace hazards affecting health.
Offer expert advice on products, premises, and processes impacting workplace health.
Identify areas for health improvement to enhance staff health, performance, and patient care.
Ensure the accurate, appropriate, and timely implementation of relevant legislation, national standards, and directives (e.g., DoH, HSE, HSC, COSHH)
Required Skills:
To be the successful Occupational Health Physician candidate for this role, you'll be:
A GMC Registered Doctor
Hold Membership or Fellowship of the UK Faculty of Occupational Medicine (MFOM)
OR (FFOM)
Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCT) / Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) in Occupational Medicine - or within 6 months of achieving CCT.
Prior experience working within a multi-disciplinary OH Department
An excellent communicator with skills, in both verbal and written communication.
Experienced in management and the development of other OH professionals
Possess excellent IT Literacy and record keeping skills
