​An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Health Technician to join our client located in Fife on a part-time permanent basis working 1 day per week. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with experience in health assessments, health surveillance, and fitness-for-work medicals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct health screening procedures in line with company protocols, including height, weight, blood pressure, and urinalysis.

  • Carry out Drug and Alcohol testing.

  • Perform fitness-for-work medicals.

  • Undertake health surveillance activities such as audiometry and lung function testing.

  • Deliver health promotion activities.

  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure all data is recorded correctly.

  • Ensure all medical equipment is serviceable, clean, and fit for purpose.

  • Support the wider Occupational Health team to ensure smooth and effective department operations.

  • Actively contribute to a positive and professional working environment.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development initiatives provided by the company.

Essential:

  • Competent IT skills.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership of issues.

  • Good workload management and prioritisation skills.

  • Professional attitude with a focus on achieving performance objectives.

  • Valid UK Driving License and access to a vehicle.

Desirable:

  • Previous Occupational Health experience.

  • Background in HCA, Paramedic, Sport Science, or similar.

  • Training in health checks.

  • Experience with health surveillance (training can be provided).

  • Manual dexterity and proficiency with medical equipment such as spirometers.
