Title: Occupational Health Advisor
Location: Colchester / Ipswich
Type: Full-time or Part-time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join our client. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing a full OH remit on-site and remotely, including conducting health assessments, providing health surveillance, and managing sickness absence cases.

As the Occupational Health Advisor your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver and manage a full OH service across multiple clients

  • Conduct health assessments, health exams, and health surveillanceAdvise and facilitate the appropriate management of sickness absence issues, including working with managers and HR to implement effective return to work plans

  • Work with clients to maintain good relationships and identify areas for further service development

  • Provide health and wellbeing advice and support

  • Maintain up-to-date records and manage data in line with company guidelines

  • Adhere to relevant regulations, protocols, guidelines, and service standards


Requirements for this Occupational Health Advisor Role are:

  • Qualification in Occupational Health Nursing (degree or diploma)

  • Registered General Nurse qualification 

  • Proven experience in providing high-quality occupational health services

  • Strong understanding of health and safety and relevant regulations

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage your own workload and work independently

  • Passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of employees.


Salary & Benefits:

Salary up to £45,000 Depending on qualification and experience with a benefits package that includes 25 days annual leave (pro rata for part-time) plus Bank holidays, EAP services, wellbeing events, health insurance, and excellent training opportunities. Mileage is paid at 45p / mile when travelling to clients.
