OH Medical is currently seeking an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to join the in-house Occupational Health team of an award-winning manufacturer, in a Full or Part-Time (Min 4 days) Permanent role. This exciting opportunity will see you working in a hybrid post will see you site-based 3 days per week (2 days if working Part-Time) in Liverpool and 2 days per week working remotely from home. 

The Role:
This role offers the ideal chance for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor to work autonomously and as part of the Wider Occupational Health team of Senior OH Professionals, Physiotherapists and Admin Support. You will be the main clinician for the Liverpool site whilst also undertaking project work remotely for the wider UK&I region. Travel would be infrequent and as required (usually once a quarter for face-to-face team meetings). Your duties will include:

  • Health Surveillance – Audiometry, Spirometry, Vision and Skin Assessments

  • Case Management – Just 5 Cases Per Day!

  • Pre-Employment Medicals, Assessment and Questionnaires

  • Health & Wellbeing Promotion including supporting the Mental Health & Wellbeing Ambassadors for health promotion and awareness events

  • Drug Testing

  • Continually develop the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service

 



Required Skills:
To be the successful Occupational Health Advisor candidate for this role, you'll be:

  • An NMC Registered Nurse

  • Ideally qualified to Degree/Diploma level in Occupational Health or hold a NEBOSH Certificate or similar

  • Previously experienced in an Occupational Health Department with experience of Case Management and Health Surveillance.

  • Able to demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of best practices and their practical application.

  • An excellent communicator with skills, in both verbal and written communication, including proficiency in report writing.

  • Possess excellent IT Literacy and record-keeping skills

  • Previous experience of Occupational Health Policy writing would be beneficial but is not essential.

  • A Practice Mentor Certificate holder is highly desirable
