​OH Medical is currently looking to recruit an Occupational Health Advisor on behalf of our client, a leading food manufacturer in Worksop on a full-time, permanent basis. The company operates in a vibrant, fast-paced environment and employs thousands of employees across its manufacturing and distribution network within the UK.

As an Occupational Health Advisor, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting new starter health screenings to ensure compliance with statutory and company standards.

  • Delivering health surveillance programs for colleagues in line with risk assessment legislation.

  • Responding to sickness absence referrals and advising on rehabilitation programs, work adaptations, or redeployment as appropriate.

  • Maintaining secure and confidential medical records in compliance with professional and data protection guidelines.

  • Providing advice on individual health issues and promoting workplace health education.

Please note: This role requires flexibility to accommodate colleagues working across various shift patterns.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), with successful revalidation every three years.

  • Previous experience in occupational health, preferably within a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential).

  • A strong interest in public health and wellbeing, with a willingness to pursue the SCPHN qualification in occupational health.

  • Full understanding of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and relevant data protection legislation.

  • Good knowledge of health promotion and workplace health and safety.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • A proactive team player with a drive for success.
