OH Medical is currently looking to recruit an Occupational Health Advisor on behalf of our client, a leading food manufacturer in Worksop on a full-time, permanent basis. The company operates in a vibrant, fast-paced environment and employs thousands of employees across its manufacturing and distribution network within the UK.
As an Occupational Health Advisor, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting new starter health screenings to ensure compliance with statutory and company standards.
Delivering health surveillance programs for colleagues in line with risk assessment legislation.
Responding to sickness absence referrals and advising on rehabilitation programs, work adaptations, or redeployment as appropriate.
Maintaining secure and confidential medical records in compliance with professional and data protection guidelines.
Providing advice on individual health issues and promoting workplace health education.
Please note: This role requires flexibility to accommodate colleagues working across various shift patterns.
Candidate Requirements:
Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), with successful revalidation every three years.
Previous experience in occupational health, preferably within a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing experience is desirable but not essential).
A strong interest in public health and wellbeing, with a willingness to pursue the SCPHN qualification in occupational health.
Full understanding of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and relevant data protection legislation.
Good knowledge of health promotion and workplace health and safety.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A proactive team player with a drive for success.
