Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Occupational Health Nurse to join our team in the construction sector. Based mainly in Maple Cross, with travel required to various locations in Herts, Beds, and Berkshire, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive occupational health services to our workforce. This role offers flexibility, with the opportunity to work between 3 to 5 days a week. You will be responsible for delivering health surveillance, drug and alcohol screening, wellness assessments, and conducting toolbox talks for employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Health Surveillance:
Conduct routine health surveillance as per industry standards, including vision, hearing, and respiratory assessments.
Monitor and maintain accurate records for health surveillance and provide recommendations to prevent occupational health issues.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for health surveillance across various construction sites.
Drug and Alcohol Screening:
Conduct on-site drug and alcohol screenings as part of the company’s health and safety procedures.
Ensure testing is completed accurately and confidentially, adhering to company policies and industry standards.
Record and report results in line with legal and company guidelines.
Wellness Assessments:
Perform health and wellness assessments, providing advice on lifestyle, fitness, and general wellbeing.
Support employees in making positive changes to their health and fitness in the workplace.
Identify potential health risks and provide recommendations to improve overall employee wellbeing.
Toolbox Talks:
Deliver regular toolbox talks to site teams on various health and safety topics, focusing on promoting a safe working environment and preventing occupational health risks.
Engage with staff to ensure they understand the importance of maintaining health and safety standards in the workplace.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) with an active NMC pin.
Previous experience in Occupational Health Nursing, preferably within the construction sector.
Knowledge and experience in conducting health surveillance and drug & alcohol testing.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, concise, and engaging toolbox talks and wellness assessments.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing a flexible schedule across multiple locations.
Full driving license and the ability to travel to different sites as required.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
Occupational Health qualifications (such as OH Degree, Diploma, or equivalent).
Experience delivering wellness programs and managing health assessments.
Experience working within a high-risk environment, such as construction or heavy industry.
Additional Information:
This is a flexible, part-time role, with the option to work 3 to 5 days per week.
Competitive salary of up to £40,000 per annum, based on experience.
Travel required to various locations across Herts, Beds, and Berkshire.
