OH Medical is currently seeking an experienced Occupational Health Technician to join an established in-house Occupational Health Department, in a Part-Time (22.5 hours / 3 Days) Permanent role. This exciting site-based opportunity will see you join a multidisciplinary team in St Helens.
The Role:
This role offers the ideal chance for an experienced Occupational Health Technician to conduct health surveillance and fitness for role medicals. Your duties will include:
Conducting Hot Work and Driver Medicals
Undertaking Audiometry, Spirometry, Vision Testing
Skin and Night Worker Assessments.
Pre-employment Medicals including Drug testing
Health & Wellbeing Promotion, including Toolbox Talks and Demonstrations.
Manage electronic Occupational Health records and compile statistical reports.
Assist the Senior Occupational Health Advisor in enhancing and streamlining operational processes.
You will be based across 2 sites one in St Helens and one in Ormskirk with occasional travel to 6 UK Branches as required.
Required Skills:
To be the successful Occupational Health Technician candidate for this role, you'll be:
An experienced Occupational Health Technician
Experienced in undertaking Audiometry, Spirometry, Vision Testing, Skin and Night Worker Assessments, Pre-employment Medicals including Drug testing and Health & Wellbeing Promotion
The holder of a Full UK Driving Licence
Able to complete overnight stays and travel across the UK for occasional branch visits
Skilled with Good IT Literacy
Able to work autonomously with the support of the Occupational Health and HR.
Salary & Benefits:
In return for your expertise as the Occupational Health Technician, you will receive:
A competitive salary commensurate with your experience level - Up to £29,000 PA Pro Rata
Management Incentive Plan – up to 10% of basic salary (not guaranteed)
15 days holiday per annum plus Bank Holidays
22.5 hours per week – preferably Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with a flexible work pattern
Pension Plan – contribution scheme with up to 8% employer contribution.
Pool car provided for travel
Free parking (EV chargers on some sites)
