OH Medical are currently looking for a dedicated Trainee Occupational Health Nurse to work for a fantastic in house manufacturer based in the Cambridgeshire area.

Job Summary

This role involves supporting the wellbeing of employees through the implementation of Occupational Health (OH) standards and initiatives. The successful candidate will work within set key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to deliver OH activities effectively. The role includes overseeing health surveillance and screening programs, managing case referrals, and collecting and recording OH data. You will also collaborate with the OH Business Partner to address health and wellbeing challenges in the workplace, promoting health education and supporting individual health needs.

Additionally, the role will involve maintaining clinical supervision for professional development, safeguarding confidential medical records in line with regulations, and supporting changes in work practices to improve service provision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to relevant Occupational Health standards to support employee wellbeing.

  • Work within KPIs and SLAs to ensure consistent delivery of OH activities.

  • Manage health surveillance and screening in line with risk assessment legislation.

  • Develop an understanding of case management referrals and the impact of the work environment on health.

  • Support the compilation and accurate recording of OH statistical data.

  • Collaborate with the OH Business Partner to identify and address workplace health and wellbeing issues.

  • Promote health education to increase awareness and understanding of wellbeing in the workplace.

  • Participate in clinical supervision to support your personal professional growth.

  • Ensure the proper handling and confidentiality of medical records in line with NMC and business guidelines.

  • Adapt to changes in working practices to enhance service delivery.

What We’re Looking For

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) with successful revalidation every three years.

  • Experience or awareness of occupational health in food manufacturing (preferred but not essential).

  • A strong interest in pursuing a career in public health and wellbeing.

  • Good understanding of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and data protection legislation.

  • Knowledge of health promotion, health, and safety in the workplace.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • A team player who is committed to success.

  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team to support health and wellbeing initiatives.

  • Flexible and adaptable to change.

  • Ability to maintain a calm and focused attitude in challenging situations.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
