About the Role:OH Medical are seeking a dedicated and experiencedOccupational Health Advisorto join our clients in house team in Gloucester. As an Occupational Health Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of employees across various industries, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and providing expert advice on occupational health matters.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct health assessments and screenings, including pre-employment health checks, annual health surveillance, and fitness-for-work assessments.

  • Provide expert advice on occupational health issues such as work-related illnesses, injury management, and employee wellbeing.

  • Offer well-being services, including early pain reporting and initial healthcare inquiries.

  • Collaborate with HR, management, and other healthcare professionals to ensure employee health needs are met.

  • Review injury/illness cases for both work and non-work-related incidents, potentially requiring home visits.

  • Provide support on return-to-work programs and absence management.

  • Deliver health promotion initiatives and support workplace risk assessments.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with occupational health regulations.


Key Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NMC registration.

  • Occupational Health qualification (e.g., Diploma in Occupational Health) or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience working as an Occupational Health Nurse, with a strong understanding of occupational health legislation.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels within an organization.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience in delivering health surveillance programs is desirable.


Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in dealing with mental health issues in the workplace.

  • Knowledge of workplace ergonomics and risk assessments.
