OH Medical is currently seeking an Occupational Health Technician to undertake a Full-Time contract role for an inhouse Occupational Health Department. This exciting opportunity will see you working in the onsite Clinic in Devizes.
The Role:
This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health Technician to join an established Occupational Health department in the delivery of a first-class Occupational Health Service. As the successful Occupational Health Technician candidate your duties will consist of:
Conduct Health Screening and Surveillance including:
Audiometry
Lung function testing
Vision testing
Other Health screening as agreed by the OHU Nurse and interpretation of results in liaison with the OH Advisor.
Maintaining accurate confidential records, and providing personal and statistical information upon request
Maintenance of equipment
Delivering health promotion and wellbeing campaigns
Administration Duties
During peak recruitment periods cover occasional evening shifts
Required Skills:
Qualified or Experienced Occupational Health Technician
Good standard of literacy and numeracy (minimum of GCSE level or equivalent)
Previous experience of administrative duties in Occupational Health
Experience in health surveillance and screening
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Possess excellent IT Literacy and record-keeping skills previous experience of MS Office including Word and Excel
You will need to be a proactive, friendly and professional person who can work autonomously and as part of a wider team
Awareness of equality and diversity issues in the working environment.
Knowledge of workplace health & safety issues.
Understanding of confidentiality and Data Protection/Freedom of Information issues.
